The Full Story
I am a police officer married to a fire fighter, and between the two of us we've lived through our fair share of stress-filled shifts. I use exercise as a way to work through job-induced trauma. My favorite form of sweat therapy is trail running. During one long trail run in 2021, the thought occurred to me that not all of my first responder brothers and sisters have healthy outlets for their work stress. A lightbulb went off and I decided I would start selling the soap that I already made for my own household as a way to donate money to groups helping first responders struggling with PTSD. Thus, Anchored Soapworks was born! Our name comes from Hebrews 6:19 -- We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
I take great pride in creating high quality products using only the best, cruelty free ingredients. Most of our supplies are sourced right here in Ohio! We love our customers, and we are so grateful that your support has helped us help our heroes!
Who are we?
Anne, our founder, with her husband, Joe.
Our products are made in small batches with the utmost care. Anne is the sole proprietor, however she gets a lot of help from her amazing sister and sister-in-law! Joe makes the cedar soap dishes, and Doc (pictured below) is our office manager.
